LEED

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is an international rating system that is recognized as the mark of excellence for green building. Green buildings reduce waste, conserve energy, decrease water consumption, and drive innovation. In order for our customers to reach their LEED certification levels, Spruce Street Transfer Station supplies the information required to report the reduction and diversion of construction and demolition waste. We help our customers achieve their diversion goals by segregating and sorting materials upon receipt. We then divert recyclable materials to the appropriate recycling operation. We record such activates and report back to the customer on a ticket by ticket basis.
